heads. There have been many

I’m a traditional sailor. I love getting a sailboat going fast, with the rail
down and all the excitement of pushing the boat to her limits. Seeing the
water streaming down the side of a
go-fast sailboat gives me as much of a
thrill at 60 as it did at 20.
Now along comes Bernie
Benovitch, the Canadian distributor for
Odin and a friend of mine. He asked
me to go for a ride on the 820 to
experience the boat and get my comments. I must admit I was not expecting too much, however, read on.

The cabin is large enough to be very
accommodating and also offers a
galley, a head and places to sleep up
to 6 people!

every nook and cranny, opening
everything I could. My first impression was good.
The kitchen area is functional and
stylish. Access to cupboards, storage
and mechanics is easy and innovative.
The galley is well placed beside the
table so that serving is made easy.
The cabin table folds down so that it
provides easy access to the front
berths. When set up for eating, the
oak finished table gleams. Inside the
table is a wine cooler. All storage
compartments are close at hand. Food

preparation is a breeze.
My 6’, 200 lbs frame was comfortable standing, sleeping and sitting.
Anyone aboard can use the facilities
at night and not bother anyone. Five
inch mattresses that are similar to
memory foam provide sleeping comfort. The Odin sleeps 6. The washroom has 5’ 8” headroom and an
